Staff Profiles
We would like to introduce you to all of our Directors and Managers and whilst we have not included all of our staff on this website we very much appreciate the efforts from every single member of the team.
Howard Davis ACA

Here from the beginning founding the firm in 1997.
I trained and qualified with Grant Thornton an international accountancy practice. I have worked in industry in both roles as Finance Director and Managing Director and find that it is easy for me to relate to all my clients having experienced most things in business first hand.
I am currently the Managing Director and when I am not running my own business I work closely with a client in a consultancy role and also business coaching. I offer my skills as a finance director and regularly assist in board meetings with strategic planning as well as reporting on the finances.
My main interest is football, both playing 5 a side and helping to manage a local junior football team where it is nice to be an assistant. I have two children who are rapidly growing up and are great fun to be with. I work with my wife who is a qualified accountant like me as well as being a CTA tax expert. Never a dull moment in our house.
The best thing about being part of Price Davis is the supportive atmosphere we have in the office and working closely with clients making a difference to their lives.
Wendy Davis ACA CTA

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 at Grant Thornton after studying Management at Aston University. I also qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1996. Having such an early interest in business has given me over 20 years of experience dealing with clients' in various stages of their life.
In the office I deal with all clients' queries and head the accounts department team where my knowledge of accounts disclosure and tax helps to ensure we always strive to deliver the service our client's are looking for. I am also responsible for quality control at Price Davis to ensure we keep abreast of new legislation in our ever changing economic climate and internal procedures so we always meet the requirements of our Institute.
Out of work I have fun doing lots of studio classes ranging from step aerobics to pilates and yoga as well as being a Mum of two children heading for the teenage years!
I love working at Price Davis because there is always opportunities to help client's and I know that the practice really cares about the standards of service and staff morale.
Andy Draper FCCA

I joined Price Davis in April 2007 from a medium-sized practice, having qualified with a small firm in 1995 and enjoyed extensive experience in all aspects of general practice. I have acted for all manner of clients, business and personal, in many industries and of all shapes and sizes; this stands me in good stead as Client Manager here at Price Davis, where the quality of service provided to clients is uppermost in our minds. In conjunction with Howard and Wendy I am the main point of contact, to ensure that an efficient, friendly and constructive service conveys our conviction to being firmly on our clients' side. As our client portfolio expands this becomes ever more important, as our depth of resources grows accordingly.
Outside work I play in a rock group, a great way to let off steam, and enjoy weight training, motorcycling, theatre, reading and socialising as well as the occasional white-knuckle experience! I live with my fiancé, a qualified personal assistant, and we love our life here having recently moved to the area.
The best thing about working in Price Davis is the friendly and supportive but professional environment, where training and continuing development are central, as part of a team that wants to do the best for our clients.
Sharla Dandy ACA

I joined the practice in May 2005 following the birth of my daughter the previous year and Price Davis offered me flexible working and a friendly approach.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001 with Horwath Clark Whitehill and after 5 years I worked in industry for Nationwide Building Society as a management accountant. My experience in a mid tier firm and a major financial services institution has given me a good understanding of business both large and small. Supporting my husband Mike in his business allows me to fully understand the pressures and challenges of running an owner managed business.
My choice to return to practice has given me a good foundation and an all round knowledge. Price Davis is what it says on the packet, a modern practice with old fashioned values, the level of quality within the work we provide is unsurpassed.
My role as a client manager, involves having my own portfolio of clients for whom I complete their accounts and also assist with any other needs they may have. We have a variety of experience within the practice and so we can always resolve queries quickly and efficiently.
My main interest is of course my children (I now have boy to complete the matching pair) but I love keep fit, swim and read and of course all of the activities I do with the children such as horse riding & ballet not forgetting drawing and painting preferably not on the walls!
The best thing about working at Price Davis is that it provides me with the necessary support and resources to complete my roles as mum and employee.
Mel Cureton

I joined Price Davis in July 2005.
I am part-AAT qualified (hoping to become fully AAT qualified shortly!). I have 12 years work experience, the majority of which was spent in industry carrying out various accounts & payroll positions.
I am currently the Book-keeping & Payroll Manager at Price Davis. This involves running monthly payrolls for clients along with payroll year-end returns. I am also responsible for the regular book-keeping work and VAT returns for clients, bringing it all to a high standard ensuring that the production of the accounts is as query-free as possible!!
Having completed a Sage training course, I also seem to get targeted with helping clients (and PD staff!) with any Sage queries!
Outside of work, my young son takes up most of my time with him keeping me busy with pushbikes, motorbikes, skateboards & scooters! When I do get 5 minutes to myself, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with friends & family.
The best thing about working at Price Davis is their confidence & encouragement in my ability to do things I don’t even think I’m capable of! I also feel like I’m treated as a person not an employee number.
Debra James

I joined Price Davis in August 2004 from Friends Provident where I worked in sales support to the stakeholder pension sales team. Before that I worked for Zurich Insurance Group assisting the actuaries in their role of determining profit and filing returns to the department of trade and industry.
My role at Price Davis is the Office Manager including the bookkeeping for our own company. I provide support to the accountants here and that leads to a varied work load which keeps me very busy.
My main interests are reading and I also do a bit of keep fit. I have two teenage sons so it's a good thing that I am also keen on watching football, cricket and rugby.
What I like about working at Price Davis is the friendly atmosphere and part time hours fitted around raising my family.
